[GFEST 2023 INAGA UPNVY SC] Paper Poster dan Geothermal Technology Innovation Competition

GFEST 2023 takes the theme "Enlargement Geothermal Utilization to Achieve Energy Transition Challenges", in line with this theme, GFEST 2023 aims to develop the topic of geothermal energy as a new renewable energy in Indonesia, one of which is by adding a competition branch to GFEST 2023, the Geothermal Technology Innovation Competition. 

At GFEST 2023 there will be two competitions, namely the Geothermal Paper Poster Competition and the Geothermal Technology Innovation Competition. 

Geothermal Paper Poster Competition 

The Paper & Poster Competition is a competition for undergraduate students who are expected to be able to understand and solve problems from the case studies provided and in accordance with the theme, namely "Enhancing Steam Recovery to Optimize Geothermal Power Plant". The results of problem solving must later be displayed in papers and posters.

GENERAL RULES

• This competition is open to all undergraduate students from any university major throughout the world.
• Participants are advised to complete registration before 30 September 2023.
• Each university can send delegations of more than two teams for abstracts.
• Each team may consist of 3 (three) participants from different majors but must come from the same university.
• Each participant is only allowed to join one team.
• The Geothermal Paper & Poster Competition consists of 2 stages, namely abstract submission and final project report and presentation submission.
• All reports and presentations must be submitted in English.
• Papers and posters must be originally written by the author and must not have been published previously.
• The poster with the most likes on GFEST Instagram will be the favorite winner.
• The presentation will be a closed presentation.
• Each delegate is prohibited from bringing their university alma mater or university attributes during the presentation session, only formal clothing is permitted to be worn during the presentation session.
• Each late submission results in a score reduction of 10%/day from the total score.
• Any violation of the rules will be punished and may result in a reduction in the total score.

Participants are required to pay an abstract registration fee of IDR 50,000.00/team (Batch 1) and IDR 65,000.00/team (Batch 2).

Geothermal Technology Innovation

Geothermal Technology Innovation is the newest competition and the main event in the GFEST 2023 series of events with the theme "Improving Youth Ideas About Technology to Support Geothermal Energy Development". Through this competition, it is hoped that participants will be able to improve their abilities through the ideas that each participant has regarding technology to support the development of geothermal energy in Indonesia.

GENERAL RULES

• Participants are advised to complete GFEST 2023 registration before 30 September 2023.
• Each university can send more than two teams to the abstract stage.
• Each team can consist of 4 (four) participants from different departments but must come from the same university.
• Each participant is only allowed to join one team.
• Geothermal Technology Innovation consists of 3 stages, namely abstract submission, case distribution, and final project report and presentation submission.
• All reports and presentations must be submitted in English.
• The presentation will be a closed presentation.
• The order of presentation will be announced at the technical meeting.
• Each delegate is prohibited from bringing their university alma mater or university attributes during the presentation session, only formal clothing is permitted to be worn during the presentation session.
• Each late submission results in a score reduction of 10%/day from the total score.
