Final Project Guidance Procedures

Procedures of Final Project Guidance

  1. Students submit the advisor’s distribution letter to the lecturer concerned
  2. Students consult on the title of the Final Project
  3. Students prepare a proposal by consultation with the Final Project advisor
  4. After the proposal is approved by the supervisor, the student submits the Final Project to the company/laboratory. For this application, students need an Application Letter and Final Project Certificate at the company/laboratory from the Petroleum Engineering Department. The letter is made by filling out an e-form (https://bit.ly/Surat-TA). The document that must be prepared is a scan of the proposal that has been approved by the advisor in .pdf form
  5. Students send proposals and cover letters that have been issued by the department. Students are only allowed to submit to one Final Project destination per submission.
  6. For students who receive a rejection from the target company, they are expected to attach proof of rejection to submit the Application Letter and Certificate
  7. Students who have received a Final Project call from the company, report proof of the Final Project call at the company to the Petroleum Engineering Department Administration to obtain an Assignment Letter.
  8. After completing data collection at the company/laboratory, students show proof of completion of the Final Project data collection process from the field/laboratory to the advisor
  9. Students carry out the process of supervising the preparation of a thesis or scientific article that will be published until completion
  10. For students who write scientific articles, they are required to make a report on the results of the development of their scientific journal (thesis report but shorter in the format of the Department);
  11. Every time you carry out consultation, students are required to fill out a consultation note
  12. Students consult with their advisor either face-to-face (offline)/online regularly, intensively and continuously at least 8 (eight) meetings or a maximum of 2 (two) weeks per semester until declared complete by the advisor
